Changes
So its been a couple of weeks of Kutie moving around on all fours, from last week he is even able to travel the distance faster - though he is still needs to learn about direction! (I hope he does not fall into the stereotype of directions and men!
)
Last Tuesday, he for the first time, was able to pull himself up with support from the sofa and today he figured out how to do it alongside the crib as well. The likelihood of him walking at 10 months looks pretty high now ... Wow how time flies! So many changes in last 20 months (he was inside me for 10 months, well past the due date!)
Lets see -
1. Two pink lines!
2. Trips to doctors office -- Slowing overcoming and then completely losing all inhibitions!
3. Reading 1000 of articles, books and still feeling inadequate.
4. Shopping, shopping and more shopping! Nothing fits, window shopping for baby, reading about what to buy for baby, another round of maternity shopping, going back to baby basics... ah! it never ends...
5. First flutters - feeling the first flutters, and knowing that a little angel is waiting to join you!
6. Baby Showers!!! Thank you God, for such wonderful family and friends.
7. Lamaze classes - An informative session. Finally feel a little confident
8. Daily walks with my dad - after a long time, regular chats between daddy's little girl (all grown up) and Daddy Dearest
9. Due Date - Everyone thought (had a big tummy) I will be early, but as due date came closer and arrived everyone was getting nervous. We tried everything - spicy food, long walks ... nothing! The little guy was happy inside!
10. Induction - Ok little guy, you need to meet the world!
11. 10.39 PM - KUTIE IS HERE
12. White sheets and a yellow cap - Kutie's outfit for the first two weeks. We finally took Kutie home after two weeks in the hospital. (ref)
13. New routine - Keep No Schedule! Kutie is King of the world - (though he does not know it!) there are 4 people at his beck and call, to answer his every cry, to show him the world.
14. Shots - Kutie gets his first set of shots ... Poor guy, did not even know what hit him. He was playing with the nurse until the pain hit!
15. Laughter - Even though he used to smile, during his sleep, almost from day 3, it was a joyous feeling to seem him laugh at our antics with sheer joy. Even his eyes lit up ... a pure laugh!
16. Rolling over - A big milestone and that too on my birthday. I don't even think diamonds can top a gift like that!
17. Our trip. Meeting everyone. Kutie was the star and since we were his escorts, we got some attention too!
18. Recognizing us, ready to jump towards us. We finally seem to get his attention.
19. First words - mom, dad, incoherent jumble. He seems to understand everything we say to him and thrive on our words, our songs, our chatter!
20. Crawling on fours - standing up - first steps into a world outside home!
Now I feel a little sad -- he has grown up so much already and has taken his first step into the world outside. Though I know there are many more milestones and many more years of growing up, this, today is the beginning of his true journey!
Can you slow down a bit, my little one?
