Days and Nights ..... Weeks and Months...

A new role each day

My son's second month b'day is round the corner! A milestone that marks my way to reality.

With his doctor visit round the corner the matter of growth rate, poop and pee matters most. It is wonderours how much time is spent in discussing this like it were the final question on Millionaire. Probably even a quiz show participant would tell you that they did not spend as much time on the question as moms do on trying to recall the exact amount of time slept, number of poop's and pee's and for the bonus question 'how is your baby doing [compared to others]'! For this answer often determines the outcome of a doctor visit!!!

On one hand doctors want you not to compare notes with the next mom "every child is different;" but in trying to find out if your kid is indeed 'different' need we not compare it to rest of the kids? And often moms too - for this answer determines how well your child is doing!!! Moms determine if your kid is social or shy, smart or dull, nice or naughty!

His two month b'day heralds the way to reality in another big way - going back to work!! Time will now be the most precious in trying to get a few extra minutes of sleep, a few extra hours of playtime with the little guy and few extra holidays to go out and have fun! His b'day turns me into the new role of juggler.

Miracle of life!

'Birth' one miracle that changes everything ...

Being a brand new mom of a bright, handsome baby boy has taken me by surprise. The little one is already the boss of the household and charms us with his 7-week old tricks! I am puzzled by his little antics and I wonder more about the intricate way that Gods work to create such a personality [yes my son already has a personality!!]

The days roll by faster & even though I seem to be doing the same every day stuff of diapering, feeding and burping I cant get enough of the little guy. Each day he does something new and phenomenal [atleast for me]. He has started to smile, gurgle and follow us with his eyes and I can't wait for his next big things. It makes me happy and proud to have given birth to such a wonderful child, a wonderous opportunity that God has given me to show the little one the path to success and glory, the differences of good and bad, of being the best that one can be.

I now feel blessed to have my parents with me and in becoming a parent I feel more closer to them. In pursuit of being a good mom I have become a good daughter - or atleast I am trying to be!

O what jouyous wonderous turn my life has taken!
