16 Hours Done

Another 6 more to go before I we touch base with family. Currently at Dubai Airport, waiting for the next flight home. Its been a long 16 hours with Kochunni getting some uncomfortable sleep on my shoulder and on the seat. We barely got any sleep. The flight (Emirates) itself was a comfortable ride though since we got in late to the airport we did not get any time to eat lunch. Being on an empty stomach we gobbled up the dinner they served 3-4 hours later, barely realizing its flavour or taste. One drawback on the flight is its timing, due to which we got only two meals during the 16 hours of journey and very little snack items. On the other hand the Disney channel selection on board entertainment was a perfect thing for kids. Kochunni watched the movie Cars and spent some time being entertained by the idiot box. We barely needed the toy cars and coloring book that I carried for him. Also with a little puppet Jamal that the air hostess gave for the all the toddlers on the flight, Kochunni was a happy camper.

Hopefully with all the sleep he got he will not have much of a jetlag and reach home happy safe and sound. Though I cannot say the same for us!
